A Wiener Schnitzel is a traditional Austrian dish consisting of a breaded and fried veal cutlet.
4 veal cutlets
Salt and pepper
Flour
2 eggs
Breadcrumbs
Butter or oil for frying
Lemon slices (for garnish)
Pound veal cutlets thin. Season with salt and pepper.
Dredge in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
Heat butter or oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Fry cutlets until golden brown on both sides.
Serve hot with lemon slices.
